INSIST Upon Only Natural Skin Care!

Stunning good looks are essential to numerous people today thus a brown skin spot is truly a dreaded sight. If or when we first spot this unsighly mark, our opening purpose is to get rid of the "age spots", wrongly believing that merely the number of years we've lived is the reason we have them. But it isn't, and knowing this critical piece of information is critical if we desire to prevent a dark skin spot from damaging the beauty of our skin.

They're in reality brown sun spots and their result in is extreme, continual sun exposure. Too much sunshine will result in dark spots over time, but it's the continual exposure - not just living many years that induces brown spots on our formerly-creamy skin. Sun fanatics in their 20s and 30s have been known to get these ugly spots.

Then, too, aging skin has less ability to regenerate from mistreatment of any sort, thus rendering our skin even more vulnerable to sun damage.

If we comprehend the "Why" of our despised spots, we will know how to ward off getting more spots, (if we already have some) and how to make sure that we don't acquire any more of the vile little discolorations in later years. The famous 'southern belle' had a point ... she was passionate about avoiding the sun so that she could keep her skin milky white. We can be quite certain that she never had sun spots in her later years.

Dark Skin Spots: Prevention

#1. Stay out of the sun! Even thought you hate and detest this advice, but the spots on your skin are are result of the sun's ultraviolet (UV) rays so if you don't ever get them in the first place, you won't have to wonder how to get rid of sun spots 20 years (or two years!) from now - cuz you won't have any!

#2. If you're a genuine sun lover and totally refuse to avoid those UV rays, then at least think about limiting your hours. Because if you genuinely want skin sun spots, then spend long hours outside during the peak danger hours:

10AM - 4PM in the spring, summer and fall
10AM - 2PM in the winter

#3. Whenever you're attending a barbecue, swim party or other outside fun time, spend some time in a shady area. An umbrella, a pergola or a shady tree is a fantastic alternative to full sun and just might head off skin spots treatment in your future.

#4. Wear fabric that is both light-colored and tightly-women, even if the thermometer is heading for the 90s. The light color reflects the sun's rays, instead of absorbing them and tightly woven fabric reflects the sun's risky UV rays, unlike loosely woven garments.

#5. Whenever you go outside, even if it's merely to cut the grass, rather than bake in the sun for a sultry tan, apply a high quality sunscreen. Frankly, this is a toughie because I haven't discovered a sunscreen I truly like since virtually all of them are loaded with dangerous chemicals. Still, it's better to slather on the chemicals - and rinse them off as soon as you get out of the sun - than to broil your delicate skin. If you want to forestall, reduce or even eliminate dark skin spots, this is the most important way to do just that.

Two more reasons to protect your skin are: forestalling more of the darned things and keeping the ones you already have from growing or darkening. Simply remember to periodically re-apply your sunscreen since sweating or water will rinse its protection offoff your skin.

* An SPF [Sun Protection Factor] of 15 will most likely be enough if your outdoor exposure will be fairly brief.
* Use a minimum of a 30 SPF sunscreen if you're planning a day at the golf course or beach.
* Don't forget to apply your sunscreen a half hour or so before venturing into the sun

#6. Wear a hat. A baseball cap - the most common hat - isn't genuinely adequate protection. I've learned this from personal experience. Opt for a hat with at least a four inch brim.

Straw hats or hats with a porous or wide-weave fabric are not safe because the sun will penetrate to your head. If you want the most efficient hat protection, then buy a hat that has an inner liner made of sun-resistant material, and also includes a wide brim.

#7. And don't forget about your lips: dark skin spots on your lips aren't attractive, for sure. Yuck! Lipstick is a small amount of protection, but unless your brand has a high SPF - and some brands do - it genuinely isn't that much help. And besides, when we're outside we're often working, playing and sweating and so our lipstick wears off leaving 'naked lips. Some lip balm is helpful, but remember this vulnerable area when in the sun.

Understanding the bring about of the dreaded dark skin spot, it's simple to avoid looking "spotted" as we age, because the remedy is simple: if you don't want brown spots on your skin, avoid sun exposure as much as possible. If we adhere to the rules of natural skin care, we'll look younger than our years.
